My Favorite Crochet Tools
I’ve been crocheting for YEARS now, and throughout these years I’ve tried different crochet products and tools and found my favorites. As with all things crochet, I believe it’s important to find what works best for you! It’ll vary so much from person to person what preferences there are. That being said, here are some of my favorites that you can try for yourself!

To start off, you’ll need crochet hooks. I have two sets that I use most commonly, one for yarn and one for crochet thread. My favorite sizes to use are the US size H/8 – 5mm and the US size 8 – 1.5mm, but you’ll need to pay attention to your pattern to make sure you’re using the right hook for the right yarn. For many projects you’ll also need a yarn needle or stitch markers. These are included in this set. Hot tip: if you don’t have any stitch markers or don’t want to use them a bobby pin works just as great! https://amzn.to/3tCzVyo
My favorite yarn that I use for most of my yarn projects is RedHeart 100% acrylic medium (4) weight yarn. This yarn comes in sooooo many colors, it works well for projects that you don’t need the softest yarn for such as purses, bags, or bows. https://amzn.to/3twUcpa
My favorite crochet thread is Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread Classic 10 size 100% cotton. There are surprisingly lots of colors to choose from as well! I love love love using this thread, I make the daintiest little bows, appliques, and keychains with this thread. https://amzn.to/3rPi8DF
If you’re wanting to make your little projects into keychains, these lobster clips are great! This is a big pack, but having this many just means you can make little crochet keychains for all your friends and family! https://amzn.to/3LVKEuo
